Armor made by Jörg Seusenhofer (German (active Innsbruck), first documented 1528, died 1580) Made for Count Jacob Trapp VI (1499–1558)
This helmet was part of an armor belonging to Count Jacob Trapp VI (1499-1558), who was a prominent official (Erbhofmeister) at the archducal court of Tyrol in Austria and a counsel to Ferdinand I (ruled as Holy Roman Emperor 1558 to 1564). The armor is preserved in its original armory at the castle of Churburg/Coiro, Italy.
