K. Lee ManuelI is best known for her hand-painted clothing, including collars made from hundreds of individually painted feathers. Each feather was primed before the pattern was drawn and then painted.
The intricate designs on this collar reference the ancient Egyptian goddess Maat, who personified the principles of harmony, truth, and justice.
