1759-1760
Workshop of William Plummer (English (active London), active 1755–c. 1793)
William Plummer's workshop appears to have specialized in creating silver pieces with pierced saw-cut decoration such as baskets and strainers. The shop must have been a fairly large one in that the process of piercing silver is time consuming and a number of objects with this type of decoration have Plummer's mark. The coat of arms is that of James Hozier impaling Artked.
