Vincenzo Foppa (Italian (active Milan), born 1427/30, died 1515/16)

This profile view is typical of late fifteenth-century Lombard portraiture. The clothing and cap of the elderly man identify him as a Milanese aristocrat. The costume is only partially visible, however, as the portrait is a fragment of its original bust-length format.
