The New York firm of Traina-Norell, which combined the design flair of Norman Norell with the business acumen of Anthony Traina, made understated yet luxurious clothes. This sleeveless shirtwaist is made glamorous by using lace outlined with iridescent plastic and trimmed with sequins.
