Designed by Louis Comfort Tiffany (American, 1848–1933) Made by Tiffany Glass and Decorating Company, Corona, New York (1892–1902)
Damascening is a technique of inlaying gold or silver into a dark, oxidized metal, usually iron or steel. Tiffany used striations of white glass to create a similar effect against the deep cobalt blue of this vase.
