Art of China’s Middle Period
(900–1400)

The museum’s collection of art from China’s Middle Period is special because only a handful of American institutions have such diverse examples of Liao (907–1125), Song (960–1279), Jin (1115–1234), and Yuan (1271–1368) dynasty ink painting, ceramics, and art created for the tomb. These compelling works can be seen exhibited throughout the Chinese art galleries.
