Mexico’s ancient cultures, varied landscapes, and lively folk traditions have been fertile sources for twentieth-century photographers. This installation of more than fifty works from the collection features photographs by Mexican artists including Manuel Álvarez Bravo, Emilio Amero, and Graciela Iturbide, alongside images taken in Mexico by photographers from outside the country, such as Henri Cartier-Bresson, Helen Levitt, Paul Strand, Danny Lyon, and others inspired by the landscape and culture of Mexico.
