American Ceramics presents outstanding examples of pottery, porcelain and stoneware from the Museum's collection of porcelain by the Tucker and Hemphill China Factory of Philadelphia. The Museum's Tucker Collection is the largest in existence. The Tucker collection, along with other examples of 19th-century American ceramics, including the collection of Pennsylvania German redware, and fine examples of art pottery by Tiffany and Rookwood will be on view. Contemporary ceramics from the Museum and local collections, including a selection of works surveying the career of the distinguished contemporary Philadelphia artist Rudolf Staffel, will also be featured.
