Philadelphia Ballet: Works in Progress

Works in Progress features excerpts from three world premiere ballets by Philadelphia Ballet dancers Russell Ducker and Zecheng Liang and Rehearsal Director Charles Askegard. In connection the exhibition Boom: Art & Design of the 1940s, these new works celebrate the music, lifestyle, and movement connected to artistic themes of the 1940’s. The music and movement are playful and feel both modern and classical.

The full pieces will premiere at Philadelphia Ballet’s 6th Annual Spring Festival at Red Rose Farm. Learn about the process and join us for an insightful conversation with the three choreographers moderated by Elisabeth Agro, the Nancy M. McNeil Curator of Modern and Contemporary Craft and Decorative Arts and one of the curators of Boom: Art & Design of the 1940s following Friday's performance.
