Friday, June 16 - Monday, June 19, 2023
Join us Juneteenth weekend to celebrate the many diverse communities of Philadelphia with a series of special events. Highlights include live music performances during Friday Night Lounge, a Saturday Night House Party, and a pull-out-all-the-stops Sunday Block Party on the East Terrace at the top of the “Rocky Steps”.
Bring the whole family to this community celebration, where admission will be Pay-What-You-Wish during normal operating hours, and only $15 for tickets to the Saturday Night House Party. Our Art Kids summer programming will be in full swing for children, and guided tours will be offered to guests wanting a closer look at the architecture of the newly renovated, Frank Gehry-designed museum buildings. Local artisan makers and chefs will help us curate the event’s food and drinks. The museum will observe Juneteenth with a special dedication ceremony at nearby Mount Pleasant on Monday.
