The Faithful Dog

This heart-wrenching scene illustrates lines from the last stanza of William Wordsworth's poem "Fidelity" (1805), which recounts the plight of a loyal dog waiting beside the body of his master, who has slipped on ice and plunged down a ravine to his death.
