Gallery Maintenance

The museum is undergoing a largescale maintenance project to ensure the preservation of the collection for future visitors. Due to this work, certain galleries and individual artwork may be off view during your visit.

American Art Galleries 100 - 108 will reopen Friday, March 27, 2026.

American Art Galleries 202 - 218 will reopen Sunday, April 12, 2026 with A Nation of Artists.

With over 200 galleries, there is still plenty of art, architecture and design to explore! We are working hard to keep our online collection database accurate. If the success of your visit relies on a specific artwork being on view, please contact [email protected] to inquire about its status.
