Pride Month Celebration

Friday, June 14,
5:00 p.m. - 8:45 p.m. EST

The energy and excitement of LGBTQIA+ joy is taking over our main building for a family-friendly special evening of events and activities. Come ready to mingle and dance with members of Philly’s extended LGBTQIA+ community. Arrive early to snag a free, limited-edition bandana designed by our Pride Month artist collaborator Marian Bailey while supplies last. We look forward to celebrating with you!

5:00 – 8:00 p.m. | Pop–Up Studio: Marian Bailey | Great Stair Hall Balcony, third floor
The things that can be made out of clay are endless, from tiny trinkets to giant vases—the only limiting factor is time! Join Pride Month artist collaborator Marian Bailey to make art with air dry clay and go home with something truly unique.

5:00–8:30 p.m. | Friday Night Lounge: R3M SATIVA | Great Stair Hall, second floor
R3M SATIVA is an Afro Boricua and queer non-binary Philly-based multidisciplinary artist, DJ, and producer. SATIVA elevates the crowd with their melting pot of eclectic sounds and adaptable blends ranging from Philly/Jersey Club, Dominican dembow, techno, and vogue. Be ready to pop that booty!

5:00–8:30 p.m | Self-Guided Tour: Queering Art
Museum staff reflect on queer identity through some of their favorite artworks. Please make sure to bring your headphones to listen to the tour on your own mobile device. For the best experience, download the free Smartify app on your iOS or Android mobile device.

This event is part of the Heritage Month Celebrations program series.
