These are the principal panels of a large altarpiece made for the Euffreducci family's chapel in the church of San Francesco in Fermo, Italy. Originally the altarpiece consisted of several tiers that were placed in a single frame. The present three frames date to the late 1800s.
The artist Vittore Crivelli is thought to be the brother of the more famous Carlo Crivelli.
