A summer of creative play for the whole family

Find your inner animal at the Museum. Journey through the wild at Art Splash, where kids and their grown-ups can experience daily gallery explorations, studio art creations, and imaginative play inspired by the wildlife photographs of Michael Nichols.

Museum admission for kids 12 and under is always free. Art Splash programs are drop-in and free with Museum admission unless noted otherwise.

Welcome to Art Splash headquarters. Make art, read a book, or burn off some energy through creative play. There’s always something new to do—studio projects inspired by Wild: Michael Nichols change all summer.

Art Splash is in the main building; Splash Studio is on the first floor. Enter through gallery 100 or the Wild exhibition. Parking Garage on Anne d’Harnoncourt Drive, outside the West Entrance. Explore our dining options.

Please note: The Museum will be closed on Tuesday, July 4.

Wild: Michael Nichols

Discover the wild through the photographs of Michael “Nick” Nichols, who captures the natural world at its most spectacular. See apes, lions and tigers, elephants, and some of the most remote places on earth.

For Kids, By Kids
While you’re at the Wild exhibition, pick up an audio guide and hear kids interviewing Nichols about his adventures.

On the Loose
Animals are hiding all over the Museum. Follow clues to track them down and discover hands-on activities.

Tours meet in Lenfest Hall (West Entrance)

Parents and caregivers with babes in tow are always welcome in our galleries, and we're making it a bit easier for you with our stroller tours. If the baby fusses don't fret---you'll be in good company.
