Mountain Dreams: Contemporary Ceramics by Yoon Kwang-cho
Introductory essay by Felice Fischer
This wonderful publication accompanies the exhibition
Mountain Dreams: Contemporary Ceramics by Yoon Kwang-cho. The book and the exhibition highlight the innovative work of ceramic artist Yoon Kwang-cho (b. 1946), acknowledged as one of the master potters of his generation in his native Korea. The catalogue’s introductory essay gives readers a concise exploration of Yoon’s work, based on the traditional Korean pottery known as
punch’ong (or
buncheong), which is characterized by its freedom of design, unusual shapes and coarse potting.
