Henri Guérard (French, 1846–1897)

Japanese fans, familiar collectors items in the 1890s, inspired a host of inventive imitations by French artists. Guérard, one of the most adventurous printmakers at the time, made this unique print using real ferns and leaves on top of spattered colors.
