Game Box

c. 1850
Artist/maker unknown, Chinese
This box belonged to Benjamin C. Warner; his initials, B. W., appear on the lid. It is known that Warner witnessed the will of Nathan Dunn (1782-1844), a Philadelphia merchant involved in the China trade, and it was probably Dunn who imported this box.
