Close Quarters

1932
Peggy Bacon (American, 1895–1987)
In 1931, Peggy Bacon traveled to Europe with her husband Alexander Brook (1898-1980), who had been awarded a Guggenheim Fellowship for study abroad. This drypoint captures part of her voyage at sea. Here Bacon brushes her teeth in the confined space of her cabin.
