Padmasambhava, the Demon Queller

Called the Lotus Born, Padmasambhava lived in the middle of the eighth century and founded Lamaism and the Red Cap Order. Seated on a lotus, he holds a vajra (thunderbolt) and an alms bowl and wears a cap with upturned flaps.
