Artist/maker unknown

Image 1 of 21 / 2

As the pomegranate has many seeds, zi (pronounced tse), which is the same character for sons, the fruit conveys wishes for many offspring. The base of this vase holds the mark Haoran tang, which refers to the Hall of Grand Magnanimity in the Forbidden City, or the imperial palace, in Beijing.
