Landscape Kimono: Fall

1988
Nicki Hitz Edson (American, born 1941)
Nicki Hitz Edson considered this kimono "not particularly wearable." Her main interest was in the surface and the technique. By making works that were easy to hang, she freed herself from the limitations imposed by making something that worked on the body. Edson’s wearable Medusa Mask is shown elsewhere in the exhibition.
