Woman's Handbag

2005
Designed by Nancy Gonzalez (Colombian, born 1953)
Nancy Gonzalez believes bags should be functional, joyful, and a reflection of personal style. Since starting her business in 1988, she has made innovative use of exotic skins in distinct colors and employed the skills of Colombian artisans. Gonzalez considers her design process to be a collaboration with nature. She begins with color, finding inspiration in Colombia's brilliant sky, exuberant vegetation, and incredible avian plumage. This one-of-a-kind bag is covered on one side with dyed cock feathers in brown, green, and purple enriched by the feathers' own natural iridescence.
