El túnel

1999
Ibrahim Miranda (Cuban, born 1969) Published by Brandywine Workshop, Philadelphia
Miranda was one of a small group of Cuban artists who participated in an artists’ exchange organized by the Brandywine Workshop in 1999. His work frequently references his island origins, emphasizing water imagery and themes of isolation, and he often uses dreamlike metaphors to suggest states of metamorphosis and change. The artist has described this print as a kind of self-portrait, concerned with introspection—the tunnel describing the middle passage between thought and dreams.
