Woman's Ensemble: "New Mitza" Jacket, "Frame Cut" Turtleneck, and "Double-Faced Eclipse" Skirt

Spring/Summer 2001
Designed by Ralph Rucci (American, born Philadelphia, 1957) Label Chado, Ralph Rucci (founded 1994)
The jacket of this ensemble, which has pockets incorporated into the curved front seams, is made up of shaped pieces and voids; these are also the basis of the innovative construction technique that Rucci calls "suspension," in which small pieces of fabric are connected by "worms" made of a series of modified French knots.
