Tile Panel: Waterkip (Waterfowl)

1899
Designed by Jacob Pieter van den Bosch (Dutch, 1868–1948) Made by Faience and Tile Factory Holland, Utrecht, Netherlands (1894–1917) Factory owned by Jan Willem Mijnlief
Jacob Pieter van den Bosch based the design of these tiles on a wallpaper pattern by the English architect and designer Charles F. A. Voysey (1857-1941). The twenty-one tiles on view are only a section of the original tile panel, which consisted of ten vertical and five horizontal rows. Another section of the original panel is installed in the entrance hall of a home in Amsterdam.
