Lobster Fisherman, No. 5

1948
John Marin (American, 1870–1953) Printed by David Strang (British, 1887–1967)
Although celebrated for his depictions of the ocean in his paintings, Marin used a marine subject only twice in his career for a print project, probably because he did not have an etching press in his summer studio on the coast of Maine.
