"Vermelha (Red)" Chair

Designed by Fernando Campana (Brazilian, born 1961) , and Humberto Campana (Brazilian, born 1953) Made by Edra s.p.A., Perignano, Pisa (1987–present)

This chair is made from thick, soft cord (like that typically used in hot-air balloons) piled spaghetti-like on a tubular metal frame. The Campanas use common materials-even things that might be considered trash-in their furniture; they have also designed chairs made of garden hose and stuffed animals.
