The nesting squares and rectangles of carefully calibrated color that occupied Josef Albers during the 1960s and 1970s were perfectly geared to screenprinting. Albers was a primary focus of the Ives-Sillman firm, which published numerous books about his work and his art theory as well as limited-edition screenprints.
