"Go" Chair

Designed 1999; made from 2001
Designed by Ross Lovegrove (British, born 1958) Made by Bernhardt Design, Lenoir, North Carolina (1889–present)
The "Go" Chair was the first to be made of magnesium, the lightest of all structural metals. The chair's organic, sculptural design was initially realized in cast aluminum, but at twenty-eight pounds, the chair proved too heavy.
