Gary Griffin (American, born 1945)

During his graduate studies at Tyler School of Art under Stanley Lechtzin, Gary Griffin became a part of the vibrant group of artists in the city at the time which included Lechtzin, Olaf Skoogfors, Albert Paley, and J. Fred Woell. He later left Philadelphia but took with him an excitement for modern materials instilled in him at Tyler.
