Made by Edward Stanton (English (active London), c. 1641–c. 1715)
London was the acknowledged center of the clock-making industry in the latter part of the seventeenth century, and a spring-driven pendulum clock like this one by Edward Stanton represented one of the most sophisticated examples of mechanical engineering of its day.
