Bartholomäus Ignaz Weiss (German, 1740–1814/15) After the manner of Giovanni Benedetto Castiglione (called il Grechetto) (Italian, 1609–1664)

In this early state, Weiss's print recalls Castiglione's work in etching style but not in composition. He also signed the print, apparently not intending to pass it off as a work by the Italian master.
