Alfred Stieglitz, Mittenwald

1885-1886; rephotographed and printed later
William Kurtz (American (born Germany), 1834–1904)
Mittenwald is a scenic resort town in the Bavarian Alps where the Stieglitz family spent the summer of 1885. Alfred and some of his siblings returned there on a bicycle trip the following summer, when this sporty picture of him with his bike was likely taken. This is a later copy print of the original portrait.
