Designer Walter Van Beirendonck intended the clothes made for his label, Wild & Lethal Trash, or W.&L.T. (pronounced "walt"), to be outrageous and reflect a new attitude influenced by street and club wear. The slogan "Kiss the Future!" is emblazoned on the back of this shirt, which makes proud use of synthetic fabrics and technological images, mixing surreal animals, fruits, and flowers with references to international locations.
