Main Building
A recently acquired masterpiece of the Baroque style in Europe, The Massacre of the Innocents, by the seventeenth century Neapolitan artist Massimo Stanzione, was the inspiration for a small didactic exhibition from October 12 to February 18. Organized by Deborah M. McGuire, Research Assistant in the Department of Painting before 1900, the exhibition in the first Special Exhibition gallery also included prints, drawings, and paintings by other seventeenth century Neapolitan artists.
