Join Stephen STARR Events in Granite Hill a designated Friday evening each month for specialty themed dinners celebrating the season or paying tribute to featured artists and exhibitions on view in the Museum. Every month presents a new and interesting reason to visit the Museum and indulge in a culinary adventure at Granite Hill.

  • Dos de Mayo
    • Friday, May 2, 2014, 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
      Celebrate the culture and cuisine of Mexico El Vez style, as Granite Hill channels its sister Stephen Starr restaurant. The contemporary Mexican restaurant El Vez, located in the heart of Center City, comes to Fairmount for a Dos de Mayo celebration at Granite Hill. Enjoy a classic Pink Cadillac Margarita while sampling a selection of the restaurants renowned made-to-order guacamole and salsa from the Chef’s Table then choose from the imaginative menu and indulge in edible delights born of both creativity and authenticity.
      $30 per person or $39 with cocktail ($27 for Members or $35 with cocktail)
  • Soft Shell Crab Feast
    • Friday, June 6, 2014, 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
      Enjoy the bounty of the coastal waters with a creative presentation of this summertime favorite. The Chef’s Table first course display will feature classic low country specialties followed by a selection of your favorite soft shell crab preparations from Executive Chef Gerald Drummond’s menu.

The intimate, 90-minute classes will offer participants first-hand tutorials on global cuisine. Executive Chef Gerald Drummond, accompanied by guest chefs from the Stephen Starr restaurant group, will lead the demonstrations for each class and assistant chefs will be on hand to offer extra attention and to help with techniques. Each participant will sample the food created during the class and will received recipes for all dishes, as well as a special parting gift.

      Fashion designer Patrick Kelly—focus of the exhibition Patrick Kelly: Runway of Love— loved to entertain and prepare comfort food favorites from his childhood using many of his Grandmother’s recipes. Chef Gerald Drummond will share these classic comfort food dishes.
