Museum Adds Options, Hours, Discounts and Partnerships Making Travel and Visiting Easier for "Renoir Landscapes"


The Philadelphia Museum of Art has taken a variety of steps to make it easy to visit the only U.S. venue to host Renoir Landscapes, the acclaimed touring exhibition organized by the National Gallery of Art in London, the National Gallery of Canada in Ottawa, and the Philadelphia Museum of Art. The Museum has expanded its exhibition hours on weekends and organized a variety of group tour opportunities. It has partnered with some of the city’s leading hotels to offer VIP tickets and with Amtrak to enable discounted travel to Philadelphia along its northeast corridor routes. Below is an overview of what many visitors will want to know as they plan ahead.

Tickets
Timed tickets may be purchased on site, by calling the Ticket Center at 215-235-SHOW (7469) or via the Museum’s website. See below for weekday and weekend prices. A $3 service charge applies to Ticket Center and online purchases.

A complimentary audio tour is available with each exhibition ticket. A special children’s audio tour is also available.

School Groups
School group tours are available on Mondays, from October 15 through December 17, 2007, from 9:20 a.m. – 3:40 p.m. ($8, each student). To schedule a tour, call 215-684-7582.

Accessible Programs
For groups who cannot come to the Museum, programs including slide illustrated tours, art talks and workshops are available. Call (215) 684-7602 for schedule information.

Museum Restaurant
A specially prepared menu showcasing French cuisine is offered during the Renoir exhibition. Open Tuesday thru Sunday for lunch, and every Friday evening for dinner, the Museum Restaurant also serves a wonderful assortment of wines selected to complement the wine growing regions of France and will host a Maison Louis Latour wine dinner on November 2. French Wine Promotion
The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB) is supporting the Renoir exhibition by offering a flavorsome selection of French wines served at the Museum and also available in many of the Premium Wine and Spirit stores in the Philadelphia area.

Discount Travel
Visitors to Renoir Landscapes can save 50% off the best available rail fare for one traveling companion ticket with each paid full adult ticket purchase on Amtrak travel to Philadelphia or Wilmington on Northeast Corridor Regional Trains. The Museum will partner with some of the city’s fine hotels to offer packages that include preferred admission to the exhibition.
