The Young Friends of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, a lively group of young professionals and art enthusiasts who support the Museum, are pleased to announce that its annual Winter Gala will be held February 18, 2006. With a theme of ‘Bring on the Knight’ the gala will celebrate the Museum’s magnificent collection of arms and armor. Over 1,000 guests are expected to attend this festive evening filled with dancing, great food, and fabulous raffle prizes. Proceeds from the event will be used to support the acquisition of works of art for the Museum’s collections.
Presented by CBIZ, Inc., the evening will be a "knight" to remember from 8 p.m. until midnight. The second floor galleries housing the distinguished and popular Kienbusch Collection of arms and armor will be open for guests to enjoy. Highlights of the evening include a high-end raffle; dessert donated by leading Philadelphia-area restaurants and bakeries and an open bar; and live music performed all night by The Elastic Wasteband.
