Events and Activities

You may register for programs that take place at Mount Pleasant and Cedar Grove in person at the Philadelphia Museum of Art’s Visitor Services desks. Or to register by phone, call 215-235-7469. A nonrefundable service charge for each space reserved is added to all phone orders (members $2.50, nonmembers $3.50). There is no service charge for reservations made in the Museum.

Learn the history of cidermaking and enjoy samples of the hard stuff from different cider-makers at six historic houses in Fairmount Park. Program begins at Cedar Grove and includes bus transportation to Laurel Hill, Lemon Hill, Mount Pleasant, Woodford Mansion, and Strawberry Mansion.

Explore the lives of both free and enslaved people who toiled at Mount Pleasant, Cedar Grove, and Strawberry Mansion.

Trolley departs from and returns to the West Entrance of the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Ticket includes trolley transportation, admission to houses visited, and parking validation for the Museum garage at regular visitor rates. Does not include admission to Art Museum. Please arrive 15 minutes ahead of program start time to check in.
