The Exelon Foundation and PECO – Lead sponsors of Treasures from Korea
The exhibition features designated National Treasures drawn mainly from the National Museum of Korea’s collection and will be put on view at three of the nation’s finest art institutions in Philadelphia, Los Angeles, and Houston. The Exelon Foundation and PECO are proud to present these works in the United States – home to the second-largest Korean diaspora community after China – for the very first time. Their support is as much about serving the nation’s Korean community as it is about educating others. Among their key focus areas, the Exelon Foundation and PECO fund projects that educate people in our communities about the value of diversity. Through this exhibit, they aim to open individuals’ eyes to the experience of Koreans of the past and help them gain understanding of Korean identity in the present.
