​Ekphrastic poetry is poetry inspired by art. Celebrate National Poetry Month and gather new writing ideas to use with your students. Find inspiration in our latest exhibitions, Yoshitoshi: Spirit and Spectacle and The Impressionist’s Eye. Pick up two new teaching posters to bring back to the classroom.​

Sip while you sketch with artist Lale Westvind, whose brilliant colors, spirited lines, and heroic themes parallel the illustrative work of Yoshitoshi. Westvind’s comics and animations have been published in Kramers Ergot, The Lifted Brow, and The New York Times.

Drawing materials provided, drinks available for purchase at the bar. All levels welcome.
