Supper at Emmaus was by far my favorite, and I actually preferred the student's version over Rembrants! -NSThe Christ with Folded Hands is how I imagine Christ to have looked. -AS

Rembrandt's quest was to "capture" Jesus. How magnificent! May each of us who love Jesus model this endeavor. Through prayer and reading the Scriptures, we too may "capture" the real Jesus. :o)

It is worth noting to those considering art as a career that even with his awesome talent Rembrandt went broke at age 50. but made his place in the history of art.

The way he uses the light to draw your attention to certain areas of his paintings while still clearly defining those objects in shadow is amazing. The faces of Christ were riveting and breathtakingly beautiful.

Contemplative and thought provoking. It is amazing how Rembrandt brought so much emotion and presence and life on the canvas. It stirred my soul.
