Share your vision of Arcadia.

"May the day come-and perhaps soon-when I can flee to the woods on a South Sea island, and live there in ecstasy, in peace and for art."

~ Gauguin to his wife, Mette, February 1890

Arcadia represents the moments in life where ecstasy grabs hold and the existence of one's confusing life is questioned; blessings to those who find Arcadia in their lives.Still in Quest, PL

A world of sensuality, Gaugin's painting especially inspires me with the questions that he provokes.

We can experience paradise whenever we adjust our perspective

The whole visual exhibit reads like a skeleton of a much longer, and fleshed out, argument. Luckily i happened upon the "catalog" or book of the show/ lying on a bench somewhere in the middle of the gallery. It contains that argument, but there is no time to read such a massive work!

Make of it what you will, this place is open to interpretation. If you don't know what to think you clearly aren't able to think for yourself, it's not what's on the plaques that teaches you about the work, it's what you feel when you look at each individual piece. Enjoy
