Share your vision of Arcadia.

"May the day come-and perhaps soon-when I can flee to the woods on a South Sea island, and live there in ecstasy, in peace and for art."

~ Gauguin to his wife, Mette, February 1890

Took my 5 year old granddaughter. Wish there is an upbeat audio tour for children. If Disney can do it in Fantasia so can PMA. The show is perfect for the opening of the Rodin and Bastille Day.

We disagree with the rather negative review in the New York Times. It's an excellent exhibit! Thank you!

Happy and joyous in mood and outlook. An embrace of all that went before in nature, and a longing to return to it. I particularly loved the Russian woman who spoke of the hum of insects in her earliest memories.

we should all be actively searching for Arcadia, even in modern life. the world would be a different place if we hadn't given up on it.

the debussy music is a good idea--but it is irksome that each time it starts over with the into. figure out how yo allow it to play continuously.

This was a splendid show! It really made me see the work in a different light and gave me a better understanding of how/why the nude bathers in a landscape..Arcadia is a place where people compromise for hte greater good and remember to be compassionate toward others.

doesn't exist for very long as people get involved and adversely influence it
