Coinciding with Philadelphia’s annual Flower Show, this choice bouquet of more than fifty photographs from the Museum’s collection illustrates the enduring fascination with flowers and plants from the first decades of the medium to the present, featuring work by Ansel Adams, Charles Aubry, Harry Callahan, Imogen Cunningham, Paul Strand, Josef Sudek, Brett Weston, and many others.
A highlight of the show is the inclusion of several recent additions to the collection by internationally known contemporary artists such as Tom Baril and Maria Martinez-Cañas, as well as local artists Andrea Baldeck and Roger Matsumoto, shown here for the first time.
