LabelThis chair was hand-painted by the Philadelphia artist R. Michael Wommack for the first public exhibition of the firm's Knoll furniture at the Knoll showroom in New York in May 1984. The allover design was adapted from an abstract, multicolored pattern by the Italian designer Paola Navone, who was inspired in its creation by television static.
