1. Daniel Wildenstein, Monet: catalogue raisonné, vol. 2, Cologne, 1996, no. 810. Since Monet did not leave a will, his son inherited his entire estate.
2. A label on the back of the painting contains the address of Wildenstein & Co. in New York with the date 5 October 1951.
