This finely turned dressing table survives with its original decorative stand on an intricately shaped sawn stretcher. Intended to display a ceramic vase or some other ornament, the stand is centered under the arched central skirt cut-out and center pendant drapes, which would have visually framed any ornament displayed. Its "cup" and "trumpet" legs and ball feet are composed of separately turned, vertically joined elements.
